(JANUARY 1, 2007) Sr. Digital Keyliner/Print Production Artist — Minimum 12 years of experience in print and packaging production. The Print Production Artist must have experience working with designers and printers. You would be responsible for preparing digital files for printing of both packaging and literature. Understanding of die lines is required, familiarity with flexographic printing a plus. Your job will also be to ensure files are created to printer’s specs, ensuring styles and templates are tight, and maintaining version control through multiple revisions. Sensitivity to type and an understanding of color is critical. The perfect person will always ensure proper quotes and apostrophes are used. A portfolio is required and appropriate sample files will be reviewed. Sample files must include QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop documents that demonstrate an expert level of knowledge of complex production. You would work on site and report to the Creative Director. (JANUARY 1, 2007) Sr. Graphic Designer — Minimum 10 years of experience in print and packaging. Interactive including Web, multimedia and e-newsletters would be a plus. Experience working directly with clients, keyliners and printers is also required. A portfolio is required and appropriate sample files will be reviewed. Sample files should include, at minimum, QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop documents that demonstrate an expert level of knowledge for print designers. If you have interactive experience, additional sample files would include Macromedia Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver and ImageReady. Note that these are bare minimums and all designers are expected to be able to conceptualize without a computer, spell correctly, communicate verbally and in writing.
